Help on a big project

So still working on a sweater for someone lol and she’s like it’s getting smaller I retired multiple times still getting smaller I am going into every stitches and adding a 1 or 2 chain b4 a row idk what to do

It’s ok i might make the smaller part the back or something… It’s a off the shoulder shirt for a bigger size body and idk what is happening to the size

I have had that problem for a while. Idk what you’re doing but I was not ending my last stitch in the correct spot. Once I started using a stitch marker to mark my first and last stitches on each working row, it helped me to keep my edges straight in every row. Hope this helps.

That’s a good point. You should count your stitches to see if you’ve lost any.
My thought was maybe your tension is changing / improving. That used to happen to me a lot. Maybe you could switch to a hook one half size bigger?
I know my tension even changes if I’m sitting differently. More relaxed tends to give me a more relaxed stitch also.
