awhile ago i had been thinking about creating one of those granny sunflower square blankets- but as i was practicing i had some issues. i understand all of the stitches in general- but the front of my puff stitches always look pretty good but then the backs look kinda loose, and i get worried they just won’t look good or will get pulled on.
advice to make puff stitches look better and even on both sides?

In general, puff stitches are one-sided. They are nice and plump on the front and hollow on the back, the larger ones even need to be popped to the front to really stand out. Since they are done in one stitch and closed with one stitch, the anchors can seem unstable. You can play around with working them in or around the post instead of the top of the stitch.

Make sure when you draw up your yarn you have all the loops on there drawn up to the same tension so that you dont have some big gaping ones and some that arent. I like to kind of wiggle my hook up a bit just to basiclly gently tug them all to the same height before completing the stitch.

Yes! Just like @MissWitchCrafts just said, make sure you pull up every loop at the same height so the tension is right! It helps if you do this kinda higher than usual. It will help you pull through without deforming the stitch. Makes them more plump too.
