Hey yall! I need some help. My sister is going to be a senior this year and she wants to go on a trip to Europe as her ‘senior trip’, but it is really expensive and so I thought I could sell my crochet as a fundraiser. The only problem is that I don’t know where to sell it. I don’t have anywhere to do a market. I didn’t know if it would sell very well if I did it in my driveway because I don’t live on a main road in my neighborhood. I mostly have amigurumi. Any ideas?
I’ve seen some people selling them on Vinted
hmmm maybe start like offering at school? that’s how i started
You could try an online craft store. Something like etsy maybe?
Aww, that is such an awesome thing to do for your sister I would suggest posting pics with prices on your social media and telling people what you’re fundraising for. Or if there’s a busy public park near you, maybe the city/town allows for people to lay down a blanket to sell. In any case, best of luck, your sister is lucky to have you
Awe,thanks! That is such a great idea!
Alright. My mom said she can help wish that too
I could! Thanks
Etsy takes so much of your money even when you sell very little
Darn. Ive been wanting to use etsy but havent yet. Maybe I wont now idk
Etsy has fees just to list things, in addition to whatever additional fees they have
Ribblr only charges designers fees when their pattern actually sells
i find selling in person is much easier and more efficient than online because you’ve gotta pay to post listings most places, and there’s often more competition with other online vendors selling the same/similar products. an easy way to make a little money is just to crochet (or bring finished projects with you) in places like school or whatever sports/after-school stuff you’re in. often times people will ask you what youre doing and if you can make them something. i’ve gotten a few sales that way. the key is figuring out reasonable but still rewarding prices to let people know about when they ask.
I’ve been thinking about doing that!
Thanks for that maybe now I’ll do it!
