I need help with two things, number one; is this yarn washable? I’m gonna wash one square and test it but I’m not too sure and I wanted to bleach this too. Number two; what border should I make, I was thinking a white ripple border but I’m not too sure..
These granny squares were gifted to me so I’m not sure at all what yarn was used, it feels like cheap acrylic? But I’m not sure
White ripple border sounds good! Idk about bleaching but if it’s acrylic it should be washable just use lukewarm/cool water
If it’s acrylic, which it looks like it is, please wash it BEFORE putting it together. AFTER freezing them for a week( if bugs are a concern for example stored in the attic or garage)
Then you can block them before joining together.
I don’t think you can bleach acrylic, but if germs are a concern, add Lysol to the wash( just a little capful) .
I already tried to wash one square and it turned out great, it didn’t deform or anything.
