Help with sewing

So I’m getting into sewing, I don’t have a machine so it’s all gonna be hand sewn.
My first project is gonna be a shark

I’m using a blue flannel, white shorts, and red shorts for the mouth
I have no idea what I’m doing I found a pattern on Pinterest and I’m just cutting out the shapes

Does it look good so far?

some tips are to use invisible stitches which can be found on the internet. they just make your project a little cute! also, you might want to cute it out a little bigger than the drawing just in case you need to fix it

Sew inside out, and leave a gap big enough to turn it right side out, if stuffing, stuff and use a whip stitch to close. If you dont want to see the end, you can knot the whip stitch, put the needle through the stuffie and have it come out on the other side with sufficient space in between, squish the stuffie to get as much of the string out, and cut close to the fabric. Unsquish, and the string will be in the stuffing on the inside.

You can either do a running stitch or back stitch, a back stitch will look more like its done on a sewing machine, and leave less gaps for stuffing to come out, but running stitch is more basic, and you can do multiple stitches at a time.

Hope this helps!
