Hey so I have a pretty good amount of yarn. But most of them aren’t what I need sometimes. Can you give me some ideas on what to buy at my local yarn store. You can give me tools to buy or anything. It’s just I’m always crocheting in my room and realize, I need a restock AND my dad said he will take me ( which NEVER happens. He NEVER offers to go buy alot of stuff for my crochet.) So anyways, you can give me yarn suggestions, what crochet hooks I should buy, if I should get the yarn caker/spinner that’s on sale etc. I’ve been wanting to try amigurumi so maybe I should get some thicker yarn ( and if I do can you tell me what to make since I’m new to amigurumi/ what colors to buy). I want to try Tunisian crochet.
I know I’m asking for alot, but I just need some advice

For the Tunisian crochet I would suggest getting the double sided crochet hooks as well as just a longer one with a stopper. Since you would be new I would avoid the cable for a bit as I find it a little bit harder to work with for me. As for the yarn winder I can’t recommend having one enough. I am the only one in my family who has one and they are always bringing me yarn to cake. I don’t have a lot of good yarn suggestions right now as all of my favorites have been put out of production. In case you don’t have any I find metal yarn needles to work better then the plastic ones as long as the yarn fits in them. Lastly some good stitch markers are always needed ;)

If ur doing in person shopping it’s best to check hobby lobby or Michael’s! I also go to dollar tree and Walmart! I do amigurumi often and would say to get the colors of the rainbow bevause those are used the most often. If ur on amazon i would say get himalayan baby dolphin cause thats a good choice, but a website i recommed is premier yarns, they have chenille yarn on sale right now so i would buy from there! Hope this helps!

What yarn to use will depend on what you want to make and your personal preference.
Amigurumi can be made with weight 3 and 4 yarn and it’s actually better to start with because you can easily see your stitches and follow the pattern better. Don’t use chenille, blanket or other fluffy yarns until you can do it with regular yarn. Fluffy yarns don’t frog very well.
A yarn winder in my opinion is a waste of money. You can hand wind yarn.
I highly recommend using Clover Amour hooks. They are a worthwhile investment and I don’t use any thing else.
Before you buy yarn find a pattern you want to make and then if you don’t have the yarn needed add I to a list.
With the yarns you have, find patterns that you can use with them.
