Help :'(

So I was crocheting a top for my brothers girlfriend for Christmas and I scrolled down a little bit on the pattern and it said for me to chain 25 or more then slip stitch the front of the top to the back and I know how to do chains and slip stitches and I feel like this is such an easy thing to understand but I don’t get it.
@HookedByMarilyn Thank you! That makes a lot more sense.

Sounds like you should have 2 squares or rectangles, one for the back, and the one you are working on, for the front. After you chain 25, you slip stitch into the first stitch of the back piece, which then connects the 2 together.

Paraphrasing, but … does this help?
