eons ago I made a few items with shuttle tatting and needle tatting…I’m not sure why I never kept it up other than after I filled my “hope chest”, I never really had a need for it

Yea, especially when the Hope chest ended up being crap, if you know what I mean.

It is just so beautiful to look at - all the intriciate loops and delicate knots and seeing the different ways people configure them and embellish with them. I can definitely see why one would drop it unless they were particularly passionate about it, though.
