I do tend to be a pretty patient person. And sweaters are definitely my favourite thing to crochet altogether
But for me, this is what it is. For me, most of the joy in crocheting comes from having a vision/ image of what you want to create and the magic in bringing that vision into reality and watching it progress under your hands.
In my mind that magic and wonder and awe in that is always there, no matter how long something takes to complete.
Yes of course I want to wear the thing too. LOL But I can also say that often there’s an even greater sense of pride in wearing something you had to work harder on. And that pride in what you created is huge too
Sometimes the process, and all it teaches you, is as important as the product itself. Maybe there’s something almost meditative about just the doing, without thinking of the future…when, what, where it will be ready.
