Hey all knitters!

So, I’m wanting to learn to knit but I have no idea how, I don’t have any hooks or knowledge at all!
I’m wanting to learn in person and I’m looking for someone willing to teach me this coming week. Near mount vernon/bellingham area in Washington! Willing to drive, my mom will probably come with me because I can’t drive yet.
I’m not sure if I can pay for time, but I’d love to learn!

I live pretty far away from you but I learned knitting with YouTube. There are lots of helpful videos and it‘s free. I think that‘s not what you actually want but it’s a great alternative.

Good luck! :four_leaf_clover:

I learned to knit from a book and the internet. I would get a set of cheap interchangeable needles. The big long ones are annoying. Make sure they are also locking so they don’t come unscrewed as you go along. Just remember there are really only two stitches. And if your library has Patty Lyons’ books, check those out. There are no mistakes— you’ve just discovered a new method of doing things!

You might want to try Northwest Yarns? I think they’re in Bellingham.
