Heyy can you guys help with this problem

Hey so basically, I know I’m still pretty knew to Ribblr, buy my posts can’t seem to get very popular. I just posted a tester call and barely anyone has participated. When I see others post, they get so many replies in minutes. I don’t want to sound stuck up or spoiled, but can some of you guys give me recommendations on how to become more well known and for others to get more comfortable. Ty sooo much.

I get it! I felt the same way when I started out! here are some tips:

comment on a lot of other tester calls to get yourself better known!

in your tester calls, put a little thing saying ‘tag 2-3 people who might be interested’ !

and most of all, just be patient! you said you’re new to this community, so it might take a while. just get into it, become a part of the community, and what you’re looking for will come!

and most of all, welcome to ribblr! :) you can ask me if you have any questions!

Honestly being active in the community is the best way to go.
The more active you are the more well-known you’ll become, thus leading to your posts getting more traction. So stick with it! I’m sure if you keep posting things that you’re passionate about people will find them.

And like others said, interacting in General chat and Craft talk are a good way to get to know others, and you can also link your posts there so they can reach more people!

Best of luck to you ^^

In my experience just like being active in the community by interacting on other posts, getting to know people and hanging out in general chat is the best way. The more people who know about you the more people will be interested in interacting with your posts.

Honestly though give it time, my first posts didn’t get a ton of traction but I was pretty active in the testing community and gen chat so I met a ton of super nice people :3

Firstly, keep in mind you only posted your tester call a few hours ago. You generally need to wait at least 24-48 hours for people to see your post and, if they’re interested in it, to apply.

It doesn’t matter if you’re well-known on Ribblr, or if people have never heard of you. If people like your pattern they will apply to test.

Some people don’t like making accessories, or spider man, so this will narrow down your test applications.

Also, many people already know how to make basic beanies, so unless yours uses unusual stitches or the construction is unusual, you may find you don’t get the number of testers you’re hoping for.

Try changing the picture in your tester call to one with better lighting and placed the beanie on a white or light back ground, so possible testers get a better idea of your finished pattern. Also, does your beanie come in multiple sizes or is it one size? What size/s? Make sure to advise prospective testers of the sizing.

Remember, you don’t have to have lots of testers for your pattern tests. Some patterns just attract more testers than others, so don’t be disheartened. As long as you get 2-3 really good testers that’s all you need.

When I apply to be a tester I don’t really care about the popularity of a designer. I’m often applying for tests by designers I’ve not seen before.

You’ve got this. Just be patient. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Good luck with your test.

hello, welcome to ribblr!

i TOTALLY understand your frustration! however, you have to remember that a lot of factors go into others’ interactions with your post. factors like time of day, all the way to the actual pattern all affect interactions.

my best tips would be to just keep posting and creating tester calls! you can build a lot of trust with others by becoming a more established designer, and a lot of people also love unique patterns.

Most honest and true reply as always!

It really doesn’t matter who you are and how well known you’re on Ribblr. There is like 50-100 new post everyday and most of us read/scan through every one of them.

My first move would be to get better pictures. Your beanie is already black so it’s hard to see the pattern clearly, you need good lighting. Natural lighting is usually the best.
