Ugh, repost bc im having trouble figuring out this app on mobile
I may have slightly over done it? i think i strained my hand and wrist crocheting over the past two months. Really really hurts to move my dominant thumb and grasp things at certain angles right now
i can’t say i’m that surprised… but what i can say is i have found i have been very, very bored not crocheting today, so i thought i’d ask for suggestions on things to do to pass the time. i’ve tried drawing - and playing video games with a controller, but both hurt a bit too much to do long term
help would be greatly appreciated
im not used to not working on something </3 needless to say i probably wont be able to work on the tests i applied for for a little while.

Oh no, I’m so sorry. I have a few ideas though
Watercolor! I’ve considered taking up watercoloring because of (pinterest mostly) and seeing such beautiful landscapes or paintings!
photography especially nature!
Music exploration/curation. Build themed playlists, Explore new genres.
I hope you find a good hobby in the meantime, I hope your hand gets better

I’m sorry your hand is in rough shape, and I hope you’re feeling better soon!
I’d recommend trying out some puzzle games while you recover. The New York Times puzzle game app is a good place to start. My sister and I are hooked on Wordle right now, so much so that we regularly create and text Wordle puzzles back and forth.
Board games are a lot of fun too! There is a website called Board Game Arena where you can access, learn, and play a ton of different games online. The variety on there is pretty amazing, and you can access quite a bit of it without a subscription. If you can use a mouse comfortably, I’d recommend checking BGA out!

I am also struggling with wrist pain. It just is constant with my thumb in my left hand while holding the yarn
I hope you are able to find some other hobbies as well in the meantime of healing. It sucks so much especially when all you want to do is crochet.

Have you considered learning how to watercolor paint using your non-dominant hand? It’s a thing. Really! All the best, Susan
