I would not call myself a painter, but I painted this last night. It is an orca whale for my best friend who loves orca whales. Please give me any feedback or tips on how to make it better. Rank it on a scale of 1 to 10. One being the worst and 10 being the best.

But I would recommend a little shading on the orca because it seems there is purple light coming from above? Or maybe I’m just seeing it weirdly

if you’re looking feedback i’d say:
regarding shades
some light shading would definitely help. you can try adding a very tiny bit of that blue or purple to the shade to add some hue to it bc blue is such a strong color and can overtake the white with the tiniest drop, and if you want to try to dull the blue down bc it might be too vibrant, add some orange until you get a neutral shade, making sure that it doesnt overtake the blue/purple though.
heres one potential example from my palette last night, where i mixed some orange into a blue to create this cooled neutral shade (you can always brighten/darken up shades more by adding white/black respectively!) :]

i didnt wanna create any overstimulation so i just took a screenshot of the section of my palette that i wanted to highlight lol
you can also try going back and cleaning up any of the uncovered areas/edges around the orca or unwanted overlap with a smaller brush :] if you’re using acrylic, then any fixes should be quick and easy!
overall though, this lidoly looks so amazingghhhggg good job!!

THE COLOR SCHEME AAAAAA definitely a 10 :3 maybe add a little shading to the white parts of the orca?
