Hi all!
I want to start drawing out my patterns. I’m a very visual person and find it easy to read them with symbols and thought I would start sharing this as well.
Only this is, I struggle to draw out the patterns on certain apps.
Can someone help with ways you find it is easy to draw out crochet patterns (not tapestry style), do you use a program or hand draw or… something else?
Any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I use paper and pen 
But Ribblr also has a wonderful feature for drawing. Click on “+media” then “chart” while writing a pattern to go to drawing page.
i personally use paper, but in general i think like adobe fresco ibis paint or maybe procreate (but it’s paid)
I use a paper and pencil, but I have seen people use other apps!
I usually just sketch it in my head
Are you referring to pattern diagrams?
I also think diagrams are fantastic and can be easier to follow when the pattern designer’s written instructions are difficult to follow and/or when working a more complex pattern. It’s a great way to see stitch placement.
Stitchfiddle is a well known platform that helps makers create crochet diagrams. The one thing I don’t like about stitch fiddle is that they don’t appear to have grids and rulers to ensure a neater tidier diagram.
However, I find it quicker and easier to draw them myself using different paper depending on what I’m making. Mandala templates are fantastic for working in the round (ie: for amigurumi, hats etc). Check out the Pinterest board below for examples.
Alternatively, I use lined paper or grid paper. Faint lined is better so your stitches stand out more. I also like to try to make the rounds stand out my using different coloured pens. This helps to keep track of which round you’re on.
