click their pfp, and on the top right to the bottom of message, theres a button that says “follow” you click it and thats all <3

Unless you are trying to follow their shop. Then go to their shop and follow from there. Find the purple heart and click it. It should be solid purple, not just the outline, if you are following.

depends on whether they have a shop or not. but click their profile, and if u see the shop icon on their profile, click it, it should bring you to their shop. there should be a heart, click it and it should turn purple.

It also depends on whether or not they want to be followed, I think you can block people from following you
