So, how do you hold your hook, like a knife or a pencil. (I’m sure most of not all of you know about these types of techniques.) or if you don’t use either method and you do what is most comfortable. I do was is most comfortable and I call it *the butterfly
* so, I call it this because my pinky finger flys up when I hook. Here is a pic of my finger

pencil makes my hands hurt and the pinky finger is giving posh haha

I’m a knife gripper. I tried pencil, but omg the pain!! I can’t even figure out how to yarn over with it, it feels like I have too many fingers

I do both, ur doing the british knife hold (cus we put out pinkies up when holding teacups)

This is how I hold it :) I use my pointer to move the yarn down my hook as I go and to hold it onto the hook as well when I’m working fast :) I wish we could post videos lol
