How do you upsize your amigurumi?

Wondering how other people handle making bigger versions of amigurumi. I know one method is simply using a bulkier yarn with a bigger hook - but what if you don’t want to use that kind of yarn?

What are some tips and tricks you guys like to use to upsize or even double amigurumi patterns?

Using hdc or DC will make it bigger! Also, is the pattern has you start with 6 sc in a magic ring, you could do 8 hdc in a magic ring.

You can multiply the pattern! (As long as you multiply all of the numbers)
You can do 1.5x, so 6sc in mr turns to 9sc.
Or you could do double so 6 turns into 12, etc. etc.

You could also double up on strands of the same yarn
