Morning everyone! Curious how many different ways you all weave in your ends. Specifically on dishcloths and wearables so the dreaded end hopefully never shows itself!! My hugest pet peeve would have to be washcloths/dishcloths. Minding your own business while getting some good scrub action down and then it happens…the end pops out and starts slapping around everywhere. Drives me up the wall lol. Here are the ways I know people do it
- diagonal path
- following the actual stitch paths
- making a knot and then having a tiny end that’s woven

EUGHHH NOT THE KNOT ONE
I FO (ch 1 and cut) then i weave it under the stitches like i’m crocheting over my ends

Ok so for circular things not amigurumi, i use the invisible FO method, for wearables i eaither use the tail to sew the part to the project or i just ch 1 and FO and weave it into the row.

I forgot anyone can do these! I gotta figure out how because I’m thinking of something a little fun for one of my patterns/testings!

How about color changing or adding next ball of yarn? I once tried, hence once, to do a Russian one I believe they were calling it. You loosely unwind the “old” end and then with a tapestry needle you’re suppose to be able to thread the new one into it a certain amount of inches and continue on like nothing. They made it look easy lol. I think it is doable if you have the patience and practice. I thought I did it when I tried it but the new end quickly fell out. I don’t think I had the right length

Personally I just carry the tails while I crochet, if it’s at the end for the FO and if I can’t hide it inside the piece, I use my tapestry needle to go through about 3 stitches go the opposite direction (about 3 sts) and just keep going in opposite directiond so it’s harder for it all to unravel

I do a mix of all three
It’s weird

Lol I hear that. On projects that are made mostly with DC you can’t really weave properly and make it stick so depending on what it is I do the knot which I hate doing but I don’t see another alternative. I also use many stitches…like probably overkill lol
