How long have you been crocheting/knitting/tunisian/sewing?

Hello everyone!

Out of pure curiosity, how long have you been crocheting/knitting/tunisian/sewing? If you do multiple and you can remember how long put down those too! If you have other craft hobbies you can also say that! Personally for me, I’ve been crocheting for about 7 months. I’d say I’m pretty good. I can read patterns easily, do advanced patterns, and write my own. How about you? Where would you put yourself skill wise?

I first learned how to crochet I think two years ago but I got frustrated then gave up and I really started at the end of last year so I’d say the same time as you!

I’ve been crocheting for a little over a year! I feel like I’m pretty good for the time I’ve been crocheting, making patterns, reading patterns, I think I’m at least intermediate!

Also, I learned to sew. I think it was during Covid or a little bit before. During Covid, I sewed masks. That was an adventure! Nine-year-old me trying to use a big old sewing machine!

I learned how to Tunisian crochet about a week ago, but I haven’t really made any projects out of it

I wish I knew how to sew… I can hand sew but machine sewing is hard for me! Tunisian crochet is a whole different world for me, and I know nothing about it other than it exists!

OH MY GOSH! That’s a really long time! That’s really cool! I’m 15 so I’ve been crocheting since 14 if that means anything but you’ve been crafting for so long in comparison!

I’ve been crocheting for nearly 2 years. I’ve done sewing pretty intermittently throughout my life

I freehand a lot of my own patterns and don’t often write things down.

Oh my, it is a bit of a list…

In August, I will have been crocheting for three years, and knitting for two.

I started sewing plushies a few months ago, and i just started teaching myself punch needle last night, lol.

I have been crosstitching for about eight years and needlepointing for five, although I don’t have much to show for it bc I have a tendency to not finish projects.

I started making cosplay masks four years ago.

There are lots of other things, but none really worth mentioning.
