Hi
Reminder~ I know this probably sounds so weird, my goal is not to get weird (
) attention from men or boys but just to, ya’know, bring us all a bit closer!

So this is very random, but I just came across the thought….I mean it’s fairly obvious that the majority of crocheters on here are female or another gender besides male. Crocheting has been advertised by society that it’s for girls and women only, but it’s fairly clear that’s not true. I know a few talented male Crocheters out there.
I taught my brother how to crochet a year ago and he enjoyed it. Of course he had to swallow his pride first
Anyway, so yeah let me know, do you know any: family members, friends, YouTubers, or Ribblr users who are male?
Thank you! (also let me know if this is weird or rude, I don’t want to offend anyone
)

I am also certain my dad can crochet, i know he can sew, and knit. It just feels like he is proficient and doing everything. Lol. I have never seen an instrament he couldnt pick up and play a tune on. He always finds somthing that intrests him, gets to where he feels like he has a basic knowlage on it, amd moves on to the next. Lol. I guess i come by it honestly.

He especially got bothered when he was scared of things. Lol. So he was scared of fire, so he because a fireman, he was scared of water, so he learned to scubadive, ect. At least that is what i was told.

lol I tried to teach my step sister too but sadly it didn’t last very long either, but what I did find out was that starting off a magic circle and letting her work in the rounds is easier than making her start off the project from square 1, also chaining a certain amount and hdc into the chains is a good base for her to start off on too. I feel this helps to develop the muscle memory of the stitches and gives them an easier, less flimsy base to hold onto while trying to learn their hand positioning that they feel most comfortable with -since everyone holds their hook differently. I’m sorry if I offended you in any way btw
, ik you didn’t ask for advice/opinions and just wanted to share a quick story, but if your kid ever decides he wants to give it another go I suggest trying this method if you haven’t already.

One of my best friends who’s a boy LOVES to crochet! He makes all sorts of wacky stuff like long cats and geese with long necks. I think he should definitely make a shop on Ribblr

Myself lol! Even when I go yarn shopping, I still feel slightly uncomfortable. On here? Man idc. Everyone on here is so supportive. My cousin also crochets a bit, but he doesn’t do it often, and imma be honest he isn’t that good just cuz he doesn’t do it much. Also know a couple of male crochet YouTubers.

Yeah everytime I go to Michaels or something I never see guys unless they like bring their girlfriends. It kinda makes me sad, crocheting is so fun! and it can be pretty profitable, it’s not just a waste of money.
