How many sales do you get?

Because people like different types of payment methods, nothing is wrong with stripe but it shouldn’t be the only option. If they could do venmo :crossed_fingers: that would be awesome

im not a seller ( i make patterns but all are free) everything im abut to say is just my opinuon and i am not trying to call anyone out specificly.

for me i am more likely to bye patterns if they have journels with photos that show pichters of people at diffrent skill levels. if all the photos and revewis are from beginners then i am less likely to bye it as im not sure if there photos dont look like the listing beacuse the pattern is bad or if there just begginers. this is less so though with advanced and intermidiate crocheters as they normally explain better the quallity of the pattern. it also helps if there are revues from people who arent testers as i feel they have less of a biest.

i personally prefer bying bigger or more complacated patterns as i personnly feel like im getting a better deal

. also most of the patterns i see that are smaller are very common patterns eg stingrays and bees. this is not all the time though.

i also feel more comftable bying patterns if there are photos from diffrent angles. in amagurumi so i can better see the proportions and in clothing its really infuriateing when all the photos are the models doing poses and i cant achally see the clothes

i normally bye less patterns on ribblr then on etsy as i see a lot of stolen patterns and beginners selling.

totally understand if you just want to ignore everything i just said, its just my opinuon and is not what you asked for i just thought if might be helpfull.

ps. sorry for all the spelling mistakes im on my laptop where there is no auto correct.

I totally agree with you! ( especially the part about the bees, and for me there are just WAY to many turtle patterns that aren’t unique.) and as you can see in my shop I have the acorn boy pattern I’m going to be releasing soon and even though he’s small he is very unique and quite detailed, and I wouldn’t have even made him if there was something on the market that was already like that:smiley:

Ive had 1 sale, (of my Egyptian crown). For a long time i only had that and bunny bobba as paid patterns though. ive started the ‘free for a day or so then paid’ strategy recently to see what happens. Theres lots of kids ln here and they cannot use stripe usually so its nice to have them free for a short while in my opinion.
