Hiii so I’m kinda new at knitting and I thought I would try to knit one of those really flowy almost mesh like sweaters out of mohair with some 9 mm needles (it’s lace weight mohair). And I have absolutely no clue on how much to cast on ( I’m starting from the bottom going up). I have 115 stitches right now.
Here’s my inspo (I don’t want to make the ribbing) I will make the similar size as in the image:

What size knitting needles are you using?

9mm, I think I accidentally wrote hooks instead of needles (fixed it)

This is advice I got for you from a more experienced knitter on ravelry
What’s your gauge? Convert that to # of sts per inch.
How many inches around do you need it to be?
Now multiply those 2 #s together and there’s your answer, though you may want to shift it a few sts either direction if you need to fit in st patts.

Ok I’ll try and see how it goes! I’m kinda in a car in the middle of nowhere right now but it’ll try when we get to a hotel. Tysm
