How to align crochet stitches?

Hello! I’m new to crocheting and tried making a bee but the black line on the bee is not connected like the stitches are not aligned. I’m not that sure how to explain but please see the photo. could anyone please help explain to me what I’m doing wrong?

I dont know how to do this either, and I’ve been crocheting for 6 years! I just usually cover it up. But you could go on youtube and search “how to crochet invisible color change”
