How to change colour in crochet?

Hi everyone! i was wondering if anyone had any tips on colour changing in amigurumi? I’ve tried so many times but you can always see the bit where i switched colours. Any help will be appreciated.

Someone else previously posted this video on ribblr which I think is a nice way of changing colours without having to cut the yarn.
