How to get my rows circle?

When making a circle it always looks more like a octagon and the rows look to be going more in a spiral then around. How do you fix that?

Instead of going (1sc, inc) then (2sc, inc) do: (1sc, inc) then (3sc, inc)

Even if the pattern says to do 1sc, Inc then 2sc, inc. I’m making my grandma a Mickey mouse pillow and it’s so oddly shaped

In That case, whenever you start doing just single crochets around, it should resolve itself

Split up the “inc”. Like this:
(1sc, inc) x 6 [18],
then split the even numbers in half at the beginning and end of the round. Like
3sc, inc, (6sc, inc) x 5, 3sc [48]
Hope this makes sense.

So if I calls for 6sc, Inc do 3sc at the beginning and end? Just want to make sure I’m understanding it correctly

yes, just basically move the “inc” a few stitches over.
If it’s 4sc, do 2sc at the beg and end.

Ok! Thank you so much !

Yeah, you need to stagger the inc!

Ok! That honestly makes sense

You can do some (sc, inc) and some (inc, sc) so that the inc’s aren’t in the same spot. And what Mercy said, that probably makes more sense.
