So, I posted a tester call a while back for my worm pattern and someone applied. I’ve seen them in the community and they seemed active. I only had 2 testers for this and the other one finished in the first few days (let it be known that this pattern took me like an hour and I’m an extremely slow crocheter that gets very distracted). Over the last few days I’ve tagged them multiple times in the tester gc (they haven’t left) reminding them of the due date. I’m getting quite frustrated but I don’t know if I can do anything considering testing isn’t over yet. What should I do?
Did you tell them, they should respond to your messages?
As the testing isn’t over yet, maybe tag them once more in the testing chat and tell them to please respond to your message so you know, they’re not ghosting and set them a deadline for that (maybe they should respond within 24 or 48 hours) and tell them if they don’t respond, you’d have to remove them from testing (and maybe block).
I did have guidelines for being active in the gc which makes me pretty mad since I’ve tagged them I think 3 times and only got one response, about a week ago I think saying that they’d be done soon.
since they r not responding and r just overall ignoring u, i think u should just BOOT THEM! BOOT THEM! BOOT THEM!!! remove them from testing as they r not worth the stress ![]()

So I took your suggestion and edited my post a few mins ago to them…
And here’s what happened before that (the one time you see them post is the only time they posted)
(My other tester was great tho would def let them test for me again)
I would say, if they don’t respond, boot them. I did have a tester that went a week over, though I gave them an extension. That was a lot of work, because I had already published it. It’s not worth it.
Omg I had this happen to me too both of my testers never responded. Ngl I just posted the pattern before the due date![]()
I would remove them and stick to what you stated above.
Part of a testers responsibility should be if they were selected if things aren’t showing up to notify the designer or Ribblr. I understand things happen but after a while things like this should of been sorted.
I’ve been a tester many times and design too it’s hard to set boundaries however it’s a must.
What I do is I warn them. Example using my user: @RainbowRoo24 , you have been inactive. You have one more day to respond or you will be removed.
If they don’t respond by that time, I remove them from testing and the chat.
I have had this problem with them before
I am having the same problem and also I believe to be the only tester for a patttern that I finished a while ago before the due date and the pattern designer has not responded at all.
I’m sorry your tester isn’t responding, but would it be possible if I could test for you?! I’d be happy to test!! ![]()
I would use weight 3 acrylic, and a 2mm hook, I do have wire to use as well!! ![]()

This user is notorious for not responding and not finishing tests. If you look at their completion rate, it supports that. They are active in the community but I don’t know why they apply and don’t complete tests =/
applied!!
Accepted!
This happened to me and I just told them that if they didn’t respond then they would be removed they never responded so I tried again then my pattern was released and I just put the people that actually tested on the appreciation. Don’t forget these aren’t people too so I understand if they are just busy but if you sign up for a test you should complete it or tell the pattern designer sorry I can’t test something came up.

Same
I would message them and see if they respond in a few days
If that happens to me I just wait till deadline (even tho im superrrr frustrated) n if they dont say or finish anything then I just remove them from testing and do the tester appreciation without them.
