How to know if you are a beginner or intermediate?

I have been crocheting fow 2 months and I feel pretty comfortable with the basic techniques. I have followed some intermediate patterns with ease but some of them feels confusing and advanced for my skills, so I thought maybe I’m still a beginner. I really confused how to tell what is my skill level.

Some intermediate patterns are more advanced beginner patterns, so that might be what you did. I’d say you need to crochet for around a year to be advanced? Maybe less. I’ve been crocheting for a year and a half, and is say I’m between advanced and intermediate

I use this to determine my crochet level. Keep in mind the way a designer writes a pattern could be what’s confusing as well as not every designer writes it the same

Cool. I didn’t know where I started because I immediately did Amigurumi. The thought of making a single granny square bores me.
