I just started this new pattern that i got from etsy for a mushroom hat thing, and when using the recommended hook size for the yarn and pattern it looks like this:

I have three options, and all of them are bad, but whatever, i need help
- Continue and have a piece with holes
- Start over with a smaller hook and have it maybe be too small
- Start over with two strands and risk not having enough yarn

I watch tutorials for amigurumi and with weight 4 acrylic they always use at least a 3.5 but they usually use like a 5mm but I have to use a 2.5mm for there not to be holes so it’s confusing
I would continue -or- set the red aside and try it with a different yarn with your options to see what you need to do for the red… maybe a smaller hook or more tension is necessary…

I had only done a few rows, so i have already redone the work i lost with a smaller hook and its working great
