I have a Magic Ring question

Hi! I’m wondering if anyone has this problem. My magic rings closes halfway then it stops. Does anyone know how to fix it?

you can try making the part of the magic ring with worsted weight yarn so it tightens smoother! or you can do [ch2, and work the number of stitches you’d start the magic ring with in the 2nd ch from your hook]. some people prefer that method!

Sometimes it also helps to tighten your magic ring before you add stitches, then gently tug on it when you’re done. If it’s not closed all the way, I’ll sew it shut and knot the yarn on the wrong side of the piece.

What i do is i do a mr, i very loosely sc the number, then i close it. If you work with thinner yarn like acryllic of a size 5 or 4, double magic ring and then pull tightly. Or just really pull the sucker tight. Ot will stop, but you tug on it more and it closes.

What I do is close it a little after every stitch, and once I have 4 stitches I close it all the way and do the rest.
