Every time I leave the website on a community page, it logs me out of the website and makes me refresh. ITâS RLLY ANNOYING!!! Any idea why?
Itâs possible you have your browser settings clearing the cache/cookies when you close things. That would probably log you out. Try checking your browser settings to see if thatâs on
I tried that-nope⌠btw I love ur PFP.
Thanks! Pattern is in testing ![]()
Wish I had another idea of why but sadly I donât. Hopefully someone else does!
Yea mine does that too, when I asked Ribblr said to get the app but I canât figure out how to get it to stop on the browser (still donât have the app)
Which device and browser are you using please?
A Chromebook and Iâm using chrome
try using safari insted an keep your history on
My history is on, and this only started 2 or 3 days ago, so I donât think the browser is the problem?
Can you test on another device?
Yes, it does the same thing
Hi, First of all we are sorry for the inconvenience. These things might happen on a Chromebook as it aggressively try to minimize memory and power consumption.
One question and then some possible tweaks to the chrome:
Does it happen only if Ribblr is the last tab/window? Or does it happen also when there are more tabs with other websites still open?
Try following these settings steps:
- Verify youâre not in Guest mode! (Guest mode does not save sessions on Chromebook)
Steps:
-On your Chromebook, look at the bottom-right corner (system tray).
-Click the time to open the quick settings panel.
-Look at the profile / user name area at the top of that panel.
-If it says âGuestâ or you see a âBrowse as Guestâ session, youâre in Guest mode.
-If you are in Guest mode:
-Sign out of Guest mode.
-Sign in again using your normal Google account / work account.
- Check / change settings so cookies are not cleared on exit.
On many Chromebooks (especially work/school devices), an admin policy can clear cookies when Chrome closes.
Steps:
-Open Chrome.
-Go to Settings.
-In the left menu, click Privacy and security.
-Click Site settings â Additional content settings (if shown) â On-device site data (wording may vary).
-Look for an option like:
âClear cookies and site data when you quit Chromeâ
or âKeep local data only until you quit your browserâ
-If you see it enabled, turn it OFF.
-Restart Chrome and test again.
Sorry it came out long. Let us know if it solved the issue.
Thx,
