Okay guys so I decide I would just use safety eyes and pray that the kid does not swallow it but look how cute this bunny hugger is

I don’t think it’s a great idea to just pray that the baby won’t swallow it :sweat_smile: If you are going to give it to a baby anyway pls tug and pull on the eyes really hard and if they pop out just embroider eyes :sweat: (but I would REALLY just recommend embroidering them in the first place :sweat_smile:)

Yeah I just did not have the patients to do that after making the whole plush and I was in a very strict time line lol

I think it’ll be fine the kids out of the phase of putting things in her mouth and she was recently attacked so at the moment I’d still regaining fine motor skills and is under constant watch of her parents

I have to say I agree with @hartme. Even if the safety eyes are secure, the eyes could still pop out, and become a choking hazard. To be honest, I’m scared to give even my little siblings crochet plushies with safety eyes, that’s part of the reason why I started embroidering my eyes. I would warn the parents if you’ve already given the amigurumi to the child.

If you would like to have a conversation about this you can dm me but I said what I felt needed to be said and this comment feels unnecessary also quite frankly I poste this in hopes of people liking my work not criticizing me and for your information this parents actually said that they don’t regularly trust safety eyes but these were very well secured so I’m not worried about the safety of this child and the safety eyes were in fact requested off me by the parents beacause they liked the look better than felt or embroidery
