I need help finding a type of yarn that would look like bark if you made a sweater out of it!!! Please I want to crochet my Halloween costume this year and this is the base of the outfit!!!

I have a few things to ask:
- What stores are available for you to buy yarn?
- Are you just looking for bark/brown color, or you want it to have the look of the texture of bark?
- What type of yarn you need? (Acrylic, wool, chenille, what?)

maybe brown variegated yarn 
, or 2 different colors for the bark, could crochet/sew some green as moss growing on it or mushrooms , or a solid color but then sew on a different shade of crochet rectangle or close to rectangle shapes for the bark texture

It is not so much the color that matters. It is the texture that will give you the look. For a tree I am working on I used dark brown worsted weight and switched between front post and back post stitches (sc, hdc, dc).
