The rubber things are for knitting! You use them when you are not working on the project, you put it on the point so it doesn’t slide off!
The metal thing is a thimble! You use it to protect your thumb when embroidering or sewing (especially with tight sts!)
Thanks
@TheEnchantedCrafter
No problem! :)
I was really with no idea
This is my first post
If you travel a lot, those stitch stoppers are going to save your life!
I have a project I’m doing with double pointed needles and I use them so much lol
Here’s a pic
Ok thanks
The metal item is a thimble by the looks of it
Thimbles are used to push a needle through fabric so it doesn’t jab your fingers. Hand sewers and quilters use them. It’s handy when weaving in your ends too, so you don’t jab the needle into your fingers
@T1R3dKn1tt3r what is keeping you knitting??? Also why do sometimes when i knit my stitches look off??? and is knitting more time-consuming then crochet???
Just a heads-up, you don’t need to tag someone when you quote/reply to someone- they’ll get a notif! :]
Knitting is only slow when you’re just learning it. Once you get better at it, it will get faster (same with crochet). It always looks a little wonky when you first learn. Once you get used to working with the needles it will get better
I’ve crocheted over 50 years now and have knitted about 40 years and there are still new things to learn
I love the rhythm of it and it’s easy to get lost in the repetitions and I love that about it
Stitches can look off if your tension changes or if you accidentally twisted the stitch
I don’t think it’s more or less it just takes time to get started once you get used to the movements its much easier to knit quickly
I also suggest learning how to knit continental style as you hold your yarn the same way as when your crochet
omg thank youuuuu
