As long as you are not gifting or selling you can do whatever youād like. I would hate for something bad to happen because someone melted the backs and they broke. Safety eyes are safety tested and should be used as directed by the company that made them.
i use the socket method with a hammerā¦or i just use the socket to push with the eye part on a flat hard surface.
those are super difficult to get on.
usually have my partner do that part for me. ![]()
I just realized Iāve been putting the backings on backwards my whole life š«Ŗ
oh wow.
Remember the support space is for Ribblr related questions only
so then should this be in the crochet space or the personal space?
Crochet or even general since other crafts can use the eyes too
Okay Iāll move it to the crochet space
I put them on backwards on purpose because itās easier! ![]()
I think you could try putting them on backwards if all else fails, but thereās some better tips here!
I used to do that lol, but when the wssher is backwards the eye is actually easier to pull out.
I have that one it works great!
Yes, here at the Treasure Box we use sinker eyes pretty much daily. The attachment tools are a game changer. Makes life so much easier.if not, A hammer and wrench will do the job as well ![]()
The one rissa76 recomended will work on them.
I find that the only size we still need to use a hammer on, are 45mm size sinkers.
Really? I honestly did not know that!!!(Probably because I donāt rip the plushies eyes out
)
Well i only know that because i have a little brother lol
FR! I made two cows and the second my 4 yo brother saw them he managed the rip the eyes out ![]()
This is an odd coincidence but im making a cow right now lol
Ok ty. Im just saying it works for me sometimes when i do it. We all have things we like to do sometimes. Thank you for being helpful and cautious!
