I would love some help gathering some data!
I’m working on my next skirt pattern and while I’m hustling my notes to figure it out (past angela was not kind to future angela) I’m trying to figure out what is the best way to make it into a made to measure pattern.
My problem with skirts are always that my Waist to Hip difference does not match the standard sizes. In there all sizes are pretty much 23/25cm or 9/10in difference. While mine is 34cm / 13in.
This is the biggest thing for a fitted skirt in my mind, and for this patterns. So I wanted to do some research.
Please leave your Waist to Hip difference bellow. There’s no need for your measurements I’m only interested in the difference between the two! Your Hip (the widest part) minus your Waist.
I would really appreciate if you guys could share that with me!

My difference is about 20cm
My specialty is that I have quite wide shoulders, so blazers never fit. Either they are too tight over the shoulders or too big over the chest and belly

I also have wide shoulders and long arms compared to the rest of my body. Finding anything long sleeve is not fun so I’m learning to sew so I can make my own clothes.

My difference is about 18 cm.

You can always design the pattern to be ‘made to measure’!

That’s my goal, but the way I made this skirt this number can make a difference on how it will fit. And if I try to explain the logic to get the result I wanted it will be to hard. So I would have combinations of rows you can use based on the number you have. and then crocheted to measure.
I listen to the voices in my head and then I need to figure out how to make it make sense to other people

I’m hoping to make 3 or 4 combinations. for like, 20, 25, 30, 35. hopeffully is enough to cover most people. I just want to be sure I won’t need more.
