Hey so I just figured out I’m not using the correct method for a sc. I usually start by inserting into next stitch, yarn over, and then pull through both loops.
Now I’ve been using the right method and when I make a magic ring for some reason the second round is coming up double. So my question is what’s the name of the stitch I was doing? And does it work with amigurumi? I really want to go back to how I did it but if it’s a bad stitch for amigurumi I’ll switch to the correct method.
Thanks so much for the help this community is just so awesome and helpful
The one you described I think is a slip stitch I could be wrong though I personally used the wobble videos on YouTube because they say how to do all the stitches
You need to check the ‘terms’ of each crochet pattern. Most are US terms but sometimes a uk one gets in there and its confusing. Im from the uk and i don’t even understand it, the us ones are so much easier to ‘get’. If it dosnt say and it mentions hdc then its us because im pretty sure that stitch name isn’t used in uk terms. Sc is slip stitch and dc is sc. sigh
