šŸŽƒ Inktober 2025 šŸŽƒ

Hi everyone! This year I’m doing inktober and I’m inviting anyone who is interested to join me.
If you aren’t familiar with inktober, it’s a challenge that artists of different ages and skill levels from all over participate in to have a creative challenge and a good time. Basically, there is a one-word prompt every day of the month and you can draw whatever you interpret that word to mean. Most artists traditionally use ink for their pieces, but any art supplies you have work as well.
I’m going to post a drawing everyday on this topic (if I remember lol), and you’re welcome to share your drawings here too!
Here’s the prompt list:

Here are my drawings:

Day 1 - Mustache

Today I drew Professor Lupin from Harry Potter because I think he has a nice mustache.

Day 2 - Weave

Today I drew pretty braided hair with a woven flower crown.

Day 3 - Crown

A little late today. I decided to draw ravenclaw’s lost diadem and I’m actually really proud of it… Except my pen basically ran out of ink and I didn’t get to fill in as much of the background as I wanted to. I’ll have to find a new pen for tomorrow.

Day 4 - Murky

For today’s prompt, I drew a spooky anglerfish swimming in murky water.

Day 5 - Deer

Today I drew Rudolph the red nosed reindeer because why not.

Day 6 - Pierce

For pierce today, I drew a loose sketch of Poseidon because he could ā€œpierceā€ you with his trident…lol. But honestly, I kind like this one.

Day 7 - Starfish

Here’s my starfish!

Day 8 - Reckless

I feel like dogs can be pretty reckless sometimes, so for today I drew a dog jumping and catching a frisbee. Just ignore the ink that bled through from the other side of the page!

Day 9 - Heavy

Today’s prompt was heavy, so I drew someone carrying a heavy guitar case. However it’s not just the guitar case that’s heavy. Has anyone else seen K-on! or just me? Anyways, I actually really like this drawing because it brings back a sense of nostalgia for me. When I was in 5th grade, I had a best friend who was obsessed with this show and very talented at drawing anime characters. Unfortunately she moved to another state after I knew her for 2 years and I haven’t seen her since. But basically when we watched this show, we established that each of our friends was a different character in the show (I was Tsmugi, she was Ritsu, and another one of our friends was Yui, this girl) and I miss her so much!! I haven’t seen her or this show in years! Sorry for my long ranty rant lol.

Day 10 - Sweep

I’m getting behind, but here’s a mouse for day 10!

Day 11 - Sting

Fun story about bees for y’all. So I’m currently taking AP US History at my school, and we were learning about the columbian exchange, and our teacher taught us that bees were brought to the Americas from Europe. One day me and my friend who is also in the class with me we’re eating lunch outside and there were like a million bees. Then one bee flew by her and she said ā€œgo away Bart!ā€. So now whenever we see bees (which is literally every day during lunch), we call them all Bart the British Bee. All of them.

Day 12 - Shredded

I’m a dancer, and I have to say, who is more shredded than a ballerina? Who? No one. So here is a moment from the dying swan variation, specifically performed by Marianela Nunez. She is so beautiful, and her lean muscles give her such graceful control. Ballerinas are so strong and incredible.

Day 13 - Drink

I drank a yummy can of root beer a few days ago, took a picture, and drew it!

Day 14 - Trunk

I’m really in the mood to watch fall comfort movies like Harry Potter right now. Also, totally unrelated, but I just started reading Twilight and I’m absolutely obsessed !

Day 15 - Ragged

For ragged, I thought of drawing a Raggedy Anne doll and it turned out so cute! This might be my favorite Inktober drawing so far. Maybe I’ll make a crocheted version of her someday. And look! She’s holding a strawberry!

Day 16 - Blunder

I actually did not know what the word blunder meant before this, so I had to look up the meaning, and basically it is a stupid mistake, so I drew the cake Hagrid made for Harry’s birthday. It has a couple of spelling errors.

Day 17 - Ornate

This is St Paul’s Cathedral in England. I went there in spring last year and it was so fun, and so pretty! Usually for all of my Inktober drawings, I start with a light sketch in pencil and then go over it in pen, but for this one I just free-handed with a pen which was a bit of a risk, but it turned out pretty good!

Day 18 - Deal

When I first though Of the word deal, I though of a sale in a store, but I didn’t know what I would draw for that, and then I remembered that you can deal cards. Me and my family have been playing lots of games with cards, mostly B.S., and not to brag, but I usually win because no one pays attention to how many cards I have left. So here are se cards getting ready to be dealed. Don’t mind some of the wonky fingers!

Day 19 - Arctic

I think seals like this are arctic right?

Day 20 - Rivalry

Name a more iconic rivalry than Harry and Malfoy.

Day 21 - Blast

Guys, my new pen is getting awfully close to running out already…

Day 22 - Button

I don’t like this button. I don’t even have a reason for disliking it, it just do. Maybe I’m not a button person I guess.

Day 23 - Firefly

Am I the only one who played Prodigy in elementary school and was absolutely obsessed? Let me know, because I played it so much and it was my favorite! I remember being so sad when they made the update that changed how everything looked. This is what the og firefly forest map icon used to look like. It’s so nostalgic for me!!

Ooh this will be fun!! Question, you drew a person with a mustache, is that what’s expected or can i simply draw a mustache on its own? Ty!

can you still sign up for it???

You can draw a mustach on its own, or an animal with a mustache, or mustaches with faces, just be creative! If you want ideas of what to draw, a lot of people post their drawings on YouTube or Instagram, just search for Inktober and you’ll see examples from other artists.
