This how it feels when I buy yarn when I shouldn’t since I already have enough in my storage lol

Lately,I’ve been trying different yarns in my storage, just gathered another tub to give away.
If the yarn frustrates me, I’m done.

I’m like, I’m getting too old for any kind of S&it, maybe I’m just too tired. :woman_shrugging:t3:

Oof yeah I know what you mean I have a container full of yarn that I don’t want to work with, I’m in the process of finding other ways to use it besides crochet since the hooks sometimes split it really easy, thankfully I found out knitting doesn’t have much problems with the yarn

I have reduced my stash but at least 60%, if not more.
From a 10x10 unit to a small bedroom

I’ve learned that in general
I don’t like anything by Red Heart, Patons, Caron, Lily Sugar and Cream, and most Bernat yarn lines

I don’t like much from Lion Brand Yarn either. But fares better than the Yarnspiration yarn lines. I like their Truboo, Cooboo, merino wool, mandala, cotton/Banboo, comfy cotton, respun and rewind. Lion brand tends to be expensive even with clearance/coupons. Another drawback in my opinion is the color choices/ autumn colors dominate- olive, mustard, burgundy, burnt orange etc.

Hobby lobby- so so less expensive but no anti piling acrylic choices, yarn tends to have more knots, barf, thinner than advertised , and more breakage.

I love Premier yarn and Universal Yarn. Universal yarn is higher quality, has lots of blends, more animal fibers , and tons of new yarn families to try as well as classics such as cotton supreme. Premier, love almost every yarn family- overall less knots, less barf, and thicker in diameter. Less breakage. However, don’t care for line carried by dollar Tree. .
