Is it possible to stop someone from editing a wiki?

I WANT TO MAKE IT CLEAR RIGHT NOW: I HAVE NO ONE IN MIND FOR THIS. If you make a mistake, itā€™s fine, dw. As long as you/we fix it tg weā€™re all good. This is just in case someone decides to abuse the power that they have and put something inappropriate, offensive, etc on the wiki. (Iā€™m referencing the pattern wiki, BTW) The wiki is supposed to be a safe space, and in the hypothetical situation that someone makes it not-so-safe anymore, I would like to prevent them from further editing it! Thanks!

only solution I can think of, is to edit your part of the post and say ā€œno more edits!!ā€ or something if youā€™d like to request people stop making edits? I dunno, but Iā€™m sorry it turned into a un-safe place :people_hugging:

It hasnā€™t turned un-safe, but Iā€™m talking in the hypothetical situation that one person was being inappropriate, offensive, etc

I think they mean to ask the leaders to close it/unlist it if it ever did happen.

But Iā€™ve kind of taken it upon myself to be constantly monitoring the wiki for anything and I want there to be a way for me to keep it safe!

I understand! I also turned on the topic on watching, so if ever anyone needs help, I can do!(ofc, itā€™s yours and Hartmeā€™s, just if you wouldnā€™t be active and I would be able to help)And, again, I totally understand! As Uncle Ben said, with great power comes great responsibilty, and this applies to the wiki too, since everyone can edit it. I think all we can do is just hope nobody will ever do this :[

ribblr also monitors any cursing in posts cough, but Iā€™m not sure about any inappropriate edits/posts. :person_shrugging:

I donā€™t think Hartmeā€™s on that often anymore, lol. But, ofc, thereā€™s @yarnomaly whoā€™s just been such a great help! And @aeryneso too! They helped out a lot when I was on vacation (but still on riblbr- speaking of which, I should change my status.)

I think I might be able to flag edits, actuallyā€¦
