Hey! So as the title says, I’m looking for some suggestions on how to make the best journals. Usually I just put if I liked the pattern, how the turnout was, and which parts I struggled on. Is this what you designers are looking for? Or what do you usually do? Ty for your inputs!

As a pattern designer here, that’s normally what I put on patterns that I test and normally what people put in their journals! As long as ur not js saying “cute!” It’s more helpful! Really no wrong way to do it!

I would not mention struggling on a part of the pattern if you’re testing it because hopefully that gets fixed and you wouldn’t struggle on it next time. I like to put the kind of yarn I’m using and the size of hook.

As a designer, I like when people put how the outcome was, how easy or difficult, and/or if they liked it / recommend it.
No, don’t put struggles bc they’ll get fixed!
