Journals for Moth-Man

Hi everyone!

When I posted my moth man pattern, I wasn’t entirely sure how testing on the platform worked!

I’d love to send a few people the pattern for free in exchange for journal posts and reviews for others to see when checking the pattern out! I’m looking for at least 2 beginners and 2 intermediate+ testers who can complete the journal/ review the pattern ASAP!

Thank you!

You need to post a pattern through your shop. Click the settings button below the pattern, then ‘manage testing’ , then ‘post a tester call’

Does that make sense? Do you need some screenshots?

I was planning on using the link format and sending it to people who were interested in providing Journals in exchange for the pattern, seeing as it’s a nontraditional testing call!

Then they won’t get the karma, I recommend just doing it through your shop.

Heya I would happily test this one and make a journal for you after I’ve made the kappa!:heart:

I have another set of testing going currently, I just want to clarify if someone uses the link from this area, they won’t get karma?
Testing link

Yes they will…but you have to put that link in your topic so that they can click it.

That is the same link that it puts in your topic when you post a tester call, not the link to the pattern.

Hi! What @TheForestFrog said is right! You either have to option to post a tester call here on Ribblr, or post it without testing. You can add in your requirements that a journal, and feedback about the pattern is required. Most designers also create a message chat for all the testers, so all the feedback can be sent, and received there! If you have any further questions, feel free to dm me!
Happy testing!

I think I’m a little confused ^^; Is it not acceptable to send someone the link after they say they’re interested on the post and we discuss skill level, date they can complete it, etc. in DMs?

That is fine…just very different then a normal tester call which most people do.

You can do that too! I believe people on instagram do that for testers that want to test their Ribblr version of the pattern as well! So that’s completely fine!
(I also did a test similar)

Okay thank you! I just went ahead and posted another one formatted in the way so that it isn’t super different from what people are used to seeing

OP posted a new thread here:

To avoid confusion, I’ll close this one.
