i got some bernat blanket (I’ve never used chenille yarn before :0 :face_with_hand_over_mouth:) and acrylic yarn!! :> so um any FREE pattern suggestions? :pleading_face: (oh yes and im planning to make the :sparkles:tacosaurus​:sparkles:with the acrylic yarn hehe)

i do believe velvet is a type of chenille coz it’s made of polyester? I dunno :sneezing_face:, but I hope you love it heheh :smirk_cat:

I just googled and it said that velvet and chenille are similar in some ways but not exactly the same :woman_shrugging:

No, velvet and chenille are different materials, they can be similar but they are not the same. Its like saying acrylic and cotton are the same, but no there not :))

Even if the materials are different, they both still “consist of pile (short lengths of yarn) that are held into place by core/lock yarns.” that is the definition of chenille
