Just an Idea

I had an idea that what if in the Makes section of our own profiles we could add makes for other make from a pattern not from Ribblr. So then we can remember other things we made that are not just from Ribblr. Please tag Ribblr if you think this is a good idea.

Yes! Please do not tag Ribblr several times, it’s annoying to them.

Okay, sorry I didn’t know . Hahahaha

Is it considered a tag if you don’t put the @ before it?

Not sure that Ribblr would really like a lot of outside patterns linked or advertised here. So not sure that they would support makes from non Ribblr patterns

I know I’ve come across threads that got closed here due to too much discussion about Ravelry, Etsy and the like

I mean like you can just show what other things you made.

Perhaps if the pattern for it wasn’t linked?

Good Idea!!

If you just post a picture (& others refrain from asking you in a post where to get the pattern)

They just want to limit overexposure of competitor sites

Yes, that was my idea i just had a hard time phrasing it, sorry. Thank you.

I have thought of this sometimes when it comes to pattern testing.
I have made a few things that I feel show other skills in terms of what I can make.

I know a lot of people look at your makes when picking testers and sometimes I wish I could show them that I have the skills and have made similar things before without… well, being too pushy and sending them photos directly of them  I don’t really expect Ribblr to add such a feature, but having a portfolio of my makes altogether would be nice to have.

You can actually already do it with Ribblr+ :star_struck:

  1. Add a pattern you acquired elsewhere to your patterns library
  2. Enter the pattern and make it interactive using our smart copy-paste
  3. Create a journal note
  4. Voila! You have a make for any pattern
