i think crocheting is easier because there’s less going on at once. You have one stitch on your hook at a time (most of the time) and it’s less to worry about. I also find crochet patterns easier to read, even as someone who started on knitting!! knitting is definitely super fun, just less practical for me as someone who’s constantly dropping in and out of projects

Umm I’ve never knit before but I think crochet is easier bc u just have 1 hook to keep up with.

I started out with knitting and then seriously picked up crochet about 2 years ago, enticed by all the fun projects that are possible with crochet.

I personally find knitting easier. I am able to knit nicely and watch movies without looking at my project but for crochet I always have to make sure I’m inserting the hook into the right hole. I think it just comes down to skill and experience.

I can crochet without looking now (don’t ask me how i did it i just did it it was hard) but I guess it’s maybe because I’ve been crocheting for a long time. I’ve just started knitting, and my mom has done both knitting and crocheting and she says crocheting is easier :woman_shrugging:

I’ve been crocheting for 20+ years so I find it easier just because I’ve been doing it so long.

I just started knitting this past year and it’s been an adjustment. I’m not sure if it’s really harder or just hard because it’s new.

I love both so far! I love crochet for plushies and knit for clothes personally.

crocheting is easier but definitely try out knitting! I do a bit of knitting and a lot of crocheting (I knit rarely) but I really enjoy it!

and I love knitting because it probably takes up like half the amount of yarn than crocheting does!

but still I prefer crocheting 100% I feel like you have more freedom to make anything

I think crochet, but I feel like this is a basis subject. Because once you learn something, it can be hard to change to something completely different. I know many people where they feel knitting is easier, because that’s what they started with and changing ‘languages’ from knitting to crochet is hard, since knitting is already ingrained into their mind. And the same for crochet. I started with crochet and tried knitting, but found it very hard, lol.

I’m kind of scared to start knitting, because I’ve heard that if a loop slips the whole project is in danger of coming undone.

Crocheting is SO much easier in my experience! I’ve tried both, but for knitting, it was rather harder for me to undo a mistake mid project than it was for crochet. You can always try both and see which one you like:sparkles:

Same here. I really liked the motions of knitting and the look of it though, but the mistakes or losing a stitch… it was too much to worry about for me. With crochet, you can just increase or decrease wherever you are and even frogging is much easier. Especially for clothing patterns.

I mean you can always try! And there are some techniques to pick up stitches again, you might wanna look it up though because I am not experienced in knitting at all.
