Oh, wow, um… maybe practice some other interactive methods of language-learning outside of school and I highly recommend consuming media of that language.
Umm… How……? I the most confuzzled person on this earth
Pardon?
But I do I have conversations with my family and I watch videos and movies in Spanish but my kind just stops me at this certain point of expanding my learning
I’m just gonna know basic Spanish for the rest of my life lmao- /silly
Confused and puzzled at the same time
Oh geez. I’m so sorry, idk what to tell you Maybe passively listen to music? Idk
I just have a good memory and just good at language learning ToT. I’m super advanced at English- my second language. Oh geez, here I go off bragging again basically
I’m just kinda proud of myself
Ik what confuzzled means, I just don’t really understand your message
I’m asking why do you know so many languages? My brain can barely process 2! (Also very sorry about that I’m very sleepy because I had a math test, science presentation, social studies project, and I had to run 4 miles in PE)
here are some of my tips:
- take an in-person class (if you can)
- join a club/group chat/server for the language(s) you’re learning
- engage in content outside of the class
– watch videos/movies in the language you’re learning
– listen to music in the language you’re learning
– read books/magazines/newspaper articles (this one can be tricky if you’re just beginning to learn, but you can always choose a children’s book!) → highlight and write down the words you don’t know - daily practice (recommended at least 1 hour per day but at minimum 30 minutes)
- flashcards! at my apartment, we put random flashcards around so we would see the word and check if we were right by flipping it up
- sticky note common appliances (like putting the word for fridge on the fridge)
- as much speaking/writing practice that you can get
– you can do this on your own, but i joined group chats, clubs, servers, and had some language exchange apps on my phone where i spoke with native speakers of the language i was learning
– edited to add: sometimes my husband and i have days where we just speak the language we’re learning! so for me, we only speak in german since it’s his native language, and for him, we only speak french. this is something that has REALLY helped me progress in my language skills because i have to figure out how to say something even if i don’t know the word haha
if you have any more questions, you can always ask!
Thank you!
Ohh, okay. Umm… idk, lol!
Ooh !! This helps alot :00 Ima start making notes and flashcards to help out :D
Its alr , I just weird lol- But this did help out =D
I am fluent in English and Spanish. I also know sign language!
I know English (native), Russian, and a tiny amount of Japanese.
I speak English but I know some basic Spanish from Duolingo :>
I speak English primarily but know Latin, ASL if that counts, a bit of Spanish, I have learned Arabic but forgot, I hear Hebrew a lot because my brother is learning it, yep
I speak English, but I can speak a little basic Spanish. Pretty sure I could get through the airport in Mexico, or order food. That’s all that matters, right?
I speak English, but I’m learning Spanish and I know a good amount, I live in Japan and have a tutor for Japanese, and have picked up bits and pieces of german, and different European languages when I lived there
I only speak english but can read hebrew.
I dont know what the words mean tho if that makes sense.
I am bilingual, meaning I can both speak, read, and write English and Hebrew fluently, but I am learning French! I didn’t realize how many people spoke Hebrew on here
