My impression is that most people here crochet and not everyone is able to knit, crochet the tunesian way or other things that are included in the Ribblr community already.
So how about we make a community event to learn together? We could bring life to the sub-spaces, do challenges, experienced makers/designers could share tips, it could be the Livestream theme, etc
It would certainly motivate me to finally take the time to learn to knit and enable me to make all the beautiful patterns that are waiting on my wishlist right now
I can do basic knitting. (Literally knit and purl) I have 2 WIPs that I had intended to get done for Christmas gifts (8 months ago). They got pushed aside for other projects. I have been learning tunisian, which I really like, but the person I watch makes wonderful videos on how to do it, but doesn’t actually name the stitch. So if I were to try a written pattern, I wouldn’t know which stitch is which.
I am down for learning more about these two techniques.
This is a great idea, tho I know 2 stitches already the knit and purl. And I don’t want big projects I want like a small one and I only have one set of needles so……..
i’d love to learn more tunisian crochet!! knitting is kind of on the back burner for me right now…i started to learn and can cast on and do a knit stitch (?), but am not as interested as i am in tunisian crochet!
%100 the same! I knitted a scarf once but it was a disaster. Took 5 months and ended up being crooked My brain/hands can’t work with needles with sharp tips, I need hooks Tunisian may work for me. I’m curious about it!
