Ok, so, I got some knitting supplies earlier this summer, knitted something that looked like deformed crochet, and stopped. Haven’t knit since then.
I want to try and get back to learning how to knit, so I’m wondering if any other knitter’s have used YouTube to learn, because I cant find any good tutorials that have a deep explanation for how to hold the needles and yarn, etc.
At the moment I have some bamboo and metal needles but I can’t find my metal. I also resorted to using skewers with a circular blob of hot glue in the end to stop the yarn from falling off (as if it will)
Any help would be appreciated a lot!

I would recommend bamboo as a beginner for more friction so that the yarn doesn’t slide off as easily, metal makes it faster but I think it’s better for when you’re more advanced!

I learned from youtube, the channel “Sheep & Stitch” helped me a lot! It is probably best to use thicker needles and yarn too!
