Looking for blanket pattern

Recently I have bought 1,65 kg of vintage yarns. There are 900 grams of witchy purple yarn and 700 grams of beige yarn. It’s really soft and I’m planning on making a blanket with them, but I can’t decide on the pattern. Please leave your suggestions in the comments

im not sure of a specific pattern, but I’ve heard crochet in the 3rd loop makes for a pretty blanket

I was originally thinking of doing a moss stitch (2 rows purple, 1 beige), but this also sounds nice

The moss stitch is so pretty with blankets!

The one blanket I did ever make was with blanket yarn and the C2C stitch. I do recommend the moss stitch because it works up faster, (and it’s pretty). You could also find some other stitching like the lemon stitch, or even the cat stitch to do!

I once made a blanket that was just one big granny square, I never ended it and just kept going, I also made a granny square of just double crochet and going through the empty spaces and not the loops of the stich and that worked up pretty fast as well

Whatever you decide I’d love to see whatever you choose to make comes out

Last year I made a blanket made out of granny squares, maybe this will be the year I make one big granny square or rectangle. This would also work up faster than the moss stitch, so it’s a really good idea

That blanket sounds awesome! I made a blanket with lots of granny square’s like that too using a sunburst granny square , the one big one is pretty fast and once you get the width you like but want a taller height you could always just work one side until desired length
