hello all! a client who orders crochet things from me often has asked me to make two bears, one with a bow and one with a bow tie. im having some trouble finding a bow pattern that isn’t too big or small. the bear itself is made of premier parfait chunky, but i will be using acrylic for the bows. if you have a bow pattern, please let me know. here’s a picture of the bear with a bath and body works hand sanitizer for scale
I’ll look for you! And that bear is the cutest! Where did you get the pattern?
ah it’s from etsy! here’s the link: https://www.etsy.com/listing/1512898668/amigurumi-bear-crochet-pattern-bear
Is this any good?
If not you could easily freehand one by making a rectangle that’s the size you want, and then tying the middle
For the bow tie, you could make a long strip of Crochet, like a ribbon and then fold it into the bow tie.
The pattern I use was so simple,
Ch 2, in the first ch space put 6-8 dc, sl st into the chain then ch 2 from there and in the ch farthest from your hook out another 6-8 dc. Sl st in the last ch space then wrap the string around the centre of the two bow rounds, then tie a triple knot with the string from the ch
This is it if I remember all you have to do is sew it on, it says 6-8 because it depends on how you want it to look but I suggest doing it in more premier parfait!
Hope this helps and maybe isn’t way too confusing
how does one tie a bow tie?
oooh good point
this is amazing tysm logan
No problem! I’ve made a few of those bows and I’m sure I can find the tutorial if you need it, bonus they work up super fast
oh awesome! i think your instructions were plenty clear tho!
I’m out and about so as soon as I get home, I’ll send you some info

oh thanks so much!
Of course!🩷
I’m glad! Hopefully it works!
I see you got your answer for the dilemma.
I was trying to link some of the youtube videos I use when I need to tie bows and bow ties but it won’t let me
oh that’s alright, i appreciate your effort though
You could always freehand one! I usually make a length of chains, then use any stitch across until it’s the width that you like, then I wrap yarn around the middle to cinch it
