Hi friends! 
I live in Europe, and I’m really curious — what yarns with a short faux fur or teddy-like texture are widely available where you are, especially in the US? What’s easy to find in stores or online?
I’m especially looking for something similar to Hobbii Peacock, but about half as thick.
I’m also attaching a photo to show the kind of texture I mean.

You could try feels like bliss yarn! It is pretty skinny tho. I’ve never used it but it seems like what you are going for.

I love feels like bliss!! its so soft, and the yarn is thinner than most fuzzy yarns. here are a couple projects I made using feels like bliss with a 3.25mm hook:

I love Feels Like Bliss yarn! I’d really love to try it — but unfortunately, it’s completely unavailable here in Poland! 
Right now I’m working on a new fluffy project (a little secret — it’s going to be Labubu! 
), and I’d love to recommend a great yarn option to my American customers, since most of them are based in the US.
But the yarn I usually use — Turkish Himalaya Koala — is just as hard to find there as Feels Like Bliss is here!

GET FEELS LIKE BLISS!! They have such nice soft colors and they’re super soft anddd abt have as thick as the yarn in the picture <3
